Visit to Labi Primary School and Rumah Panjang Mendaram Besar

47 students, teachers and staff of Seri Mulia Sarjana International school and Seri Mulia Sarjana School made an educational visit to Labi Primary School and Rumah Panjang(Long house) Mendaram Besar.

Students, teachers and Staff first stopped in Labi Primary School where we toured the classrooms and the school facilities. The visit was then capped by a tree planting ceremony by Dr. Mary Lim, the school’s Chief Executive Officer.

The visit to Rumah Panjang(Long house) Mendaram Besar gave all of us an interesting insight into the long house way of life. All of us were welcomed by the Head of the long house, he then gave us a fascinating tour of long house community living and their practices. We also viewed some bamboo handicrafts on display.

At the end of each visit, Dr Mary Lim presented tokens of appreciations and plaques to Cikgu Maslinah, the Principal of Labi Primary School and Awang Berandi Anak Jaman, the head of the Rumah Panjang.

This trip was organized by the school’s Human Resource Department.
