SMSIS Students win Silver and Gold awards in National Primary Mathematics and Science Olympiad 2017

Seri Mulia Sarjana International School students bagged silver and gold awards in National Primary Mathematics and Science Olympiad awarding ceremony held at the Curriculum Development Department Hall, Ministry of Education, on 20th July 2017.

Both competitions were organised by STEP Centre for primary school students only in Brunei.

This year, three students from the Upper Primary represented the school in showcasing their potential in the field of Science and Mathematics. Within a limited time to prepare, the students surpassed the different rounds competing against other students from different schools in Brunei. Lim Mei Ting won gold medal alongside Nur Nayyara Binti Azriman, who won a silver medal in Primary School Science Olympiad (PSSO). Meanwhile, Elijah Cheam Kai Jie won a silver award in Primary School Mathematics Olympiad (PSMO). These students were trained by their dedicated mentors, Teacher Lourdes Santillan Donguines and Teacher Joanna Lim Lan Sing.

Lim Mei Ting will represent Brunei in the 14th International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO) on 20th – 24th November 2017 in Singapore.

Well done, kids!
