Board of Governors

SMSIS is governed by a Board of Governors (BoG) working hand-in-hand with the school leadership team. The BoG composed of expert volunteers nominated from the school community i.e. parents, teachers, and staff, plus prominent experts in our larger Bruneian community. Each member of the board has a breadth of skills to assist the school in achieving its vision.

The Board of Governors serves both as an advisor and facilitator to the school. Their roles encompass serving as steward of the school ensuring sustainability and effectiveness, safeguarding standards and evaluating academic programme, creating a climate that promotes educational excellence, ensuring legal compliance, developing strategic plans and maintaining strategic direction, promoting accountability and ethical practise within the board as well as the whole school community,  acting as the link between the school, the community, and the Government of His Majesty, the Sultan of Brunei, advocating the needs of the school community.
